This Queen Anne structure is on both the National and State Historic Registers. In 1975, a group purchased this hotel which had fallen on hard times. Renovations to the
structure proceeded over three years. The architect, Wally Mills, spent much of his time renovating every room. The structure was stabilized, bathrooms were added to each room, new heating
system, electrical and plumbing were installed, complete with lighting fixtures which were compatible with the period of the hotel. It is now known as the Highland Inn.
